I went to a dentist for a regular checkup. A teeth was diagnosed with trauma that might have happened years ago.x-ray was taken and root canal with crown was prescribed. I have no issues with the teeth or any signs of infection. I only wanted to know scaling and polishing options. Can i avoid a root canal? Is it safe?

Dear sir. The more you delay in undergoing root canal treatment lesser is the prognosis value. Non vital tooth may revolt against you any time.

It is recommended to get the root canal treatment done. .because there are chances of developing cyst below the root of traumatised tooth.. This treatment is very safe and there are no side effects. ..you can go for it. ..
