Is a mild sore normal after dental work?

I just underwent a scaling procedure due to moderate gingivitis yesterday and after a few hours observed one mild little sore in soft part of the tongue . Is it normal?

Hi sir...    This sore may be due yo accidental injury during scaling procedure ...No need to worry about this ... If it persists and paining even after 3 or 4 days kindly consult with dentist.
