I have been having some weird vaginal bleeding for the past 4 months. I've been on birth control for over a year (Camrese, which means I'm only supposed to have a period once every 3 months), and it was working quite well until a few months ago. I started Lexapro just before I started bleeding, and my psychiatrist said it was just a side effect, since Lexapro can cause irregular periods. But I stopped the Lexapro about 2.5 months ago and am still having issues. Should I be concerned? The discharge is not as heavy as a normal period, but has been very consistent. The color has been anywhere from bright red to light brown, to a dark brown/almost black. I'm not really in pain, although I've had a lot of cramping/bloating on and off.
