IOP and use of steroids during surgery

I m going for beard transplant, i have Open angle glaucoma with iop stays around 17-18 after drop travatan once daily night, I get to know during the surgery they use steroid for lessen the inflammation, But steroids cause iop spike , is this safe to go for the surgery,? What to do any other alternative of steroids during the surgery?

Yes steroids can cause the iop spikes but if you used that for long time.. ideally no surgeon will prescribe you the steroids for long time..
