Intestinal metaplasia
.Had recent biopsy and these are findings Pre-pyloric gastritis with intestinal metaplasia. Can this be reversed? My doctor has suggested can be cancerous go for sugery. I am worried & scared ? Any recommendation what shall I do ?
It could be because of increased acidic secretion or H. pylori bacterial infection. If you're symptomatic then you need a course of PPI tablets and antacid syrup. Consult a surgical Gastroenterologist for a second opinion. Not all situations require surgery.
