What joint of your arm is it??? Is it shoulder elbow or wrist? If any if it has gotten stiff and muscles surrounding it right it needs to be worked upon. How intensive therapy you need depends upon how stiff and tight is the area

Please visit neaby physiotherpist, after proper assessment a physiotherapist can suggest you what you need. And there is nothing like normal physiotherapy and intensove physiotherapy.  Physiotherapist design induvisualised protocol according to your condition. If you have more pain physiotherapist will focus on relieving pain by manual therapy, some modalities, gentle exercises then progress to strengthening exercises. It is complete rehabilitation program.  And it shoud followed in sequence.  You cant start intesive exercises without relieving pain.

H, instead of straightaway going for physiotherapy its always better to examine yourself by a specialist.
