Has she recovered from the anxiety or not. Or was that medicine was working only as placebo. Please do consult a psychologist and understand whether her anxyissue has been resolved or not.

Someone with past history of depression would carry some vulnerability of relapse in certain situations like stress or prematurely stopping medicine or substance misuse issues, physical health problems etc. Hence a holistic approach should be taken aimed at not only medicine or coming out of acute depression, but to prevent relapse. Your description may be indicating a relapse. Rather than, restarting her on medicine, I would suggest a proper assessment by in person consultation. Often, in these situations, talking therapy like cognitive behavior therapy, lifestyle changes and addressing underlying causes would be sufficient. Only in moderate to severe cases medicine would be helpful. Please arrange for an in person consultation to determine what works for her. Best wishes
