Incomplete beard growth

My cousin have normal growth of beard but in some areas there is no hair growth hence his beard is looking irregularly.by which he can't grow his beard.when compared with others area of beard is less.what are the measures that he have to take to have growth at that area.

He needs to be evaluated for the cause of hair loss. If there is no local allergy or fungal infection, hair transplant will be the solution.
