My daughter ( 2 years) has encountered febrial convulsions twice in a span of 5 months.
One of the doctors suggested ibogesic plus to be given to her every 6 hours for 3 days whenever fever is indicated. Even fever subsides, the doctor is suggesting to continue this for 3 days and even after fever subsides.
Is it safe? Not all doctors prescribe ibogesic plus but given convulsion history- shall we give ibogesic plus?
As for fever concerned it is preferred to give PARACETAMOL as a first line. But this has to be considered depending on the each case basis.
And it is not necessary to give IBUPROFEN combination if the fever spikes have reduced.
