I used a lancing device which my dad used a year back. He is not having any blood infection except diabetes. Please let me know if there will be any issue. I will not use the lancets but lancing device is the one I used and was not cleaned.

Sharing the lancet is the issue, however lancing device also should be avoided from henceforth for safety purpose. Would like to discuss in details and provide apt solution. Kindly consult.

If you are diabetic please have a complete kit for yourself.  Lancing device is fine but both of you may have to do the test often.

Sharing lancing device if clean doesn’t usually cause any adverse effects as long as the lancets are not shared
