Thyroid when treated with levothyroxine medications, n TSH in normal limits, usually shouldn't be a reason for unable to loose weight, but some people may continue with symptoms of hypothyroidism, in these patients T3 may be low. Pls continue the medication if ur taking, and healthy eating with regular exercise. If required consult ur endocrinologist for further queries.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Thyroid is a gland which is normally present in everyone unless its removed surgically. What you are having is a thyroid disorder. And it could be hypothyroidism. Just take the medications as suggested by the doctor and then once your thyroid profile starts to stay in range, slowly you will start losing weight with proper diet and exercise.  Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
