I have Pilonidal Sinus

There is a 6 month old pilonidal sinus. The track is 5 cm long and 5-7 mm wide. Doctors say there's a lot of hair in it. I am confused between flap or laser surgery. Please suggest something.

its based on whether its infected r not if infected laser doesn't work u can go with excision /flap. main stay would be trimming of hair weakly..

If you do not mind the scar, long recovery time, choose flap. Laser is minimally invasive, gives almost negligible scar, faster recovery and less painful but has higher recurrence rates than flap surgeries in complex or extensive sinuses. The expertise of the surgeon also comes into play.
