Hello, Since it’s already the 19th day after your open hemorrhoidectomy and you have no pain while passing stool and no bleeding, your healing seems to be progressing well. That’s a positive sign. A small amount of beer at this stage is unlikely to cause any severe problem, but alcohol can sometimes lead to dehydration or constipation, which may irritate the operated area.
Next Steps
What you can do: • If drinking, keep it very limited (avoid heavy intake). • Drink plenty of water along with it. • Continue fiber-rich diet and stool softener if prescribed. • Watch for fresh bleeding or increased pain. Healthy tips: • Stay well hydrated daily. • Avoid straining during stools. • Continue light physical activity.
Health Tips
If you want, I can guide you more specifically based on your current medications and recovery status.

At 19 days after open hemorrhoidectomy, if you have no bleeding, no pain, and normal stool, taking small amount of alcohol (1 beer) is generally safe. Just keep precautions: • Drink plenty of water • Avoid constipation and spicy food • Do not take alcohol if on painkillers or antibiotics If pain or bleeding occurs, stop and wait 1–2 more weeks. If you need more guidance, you can text me on practo anytime.
