Keep maintaining the oral hygiene by proper brushing by the technique as described by the dentist. Flossing between the teeth and using chlorhexidine based mouthwash is an added advantage to your oral hygiene practice.
Make sure that you are well hydrated because dehydration is one of the causes for halitosis.
As far as the tongue is concerned, make sure you clean your tongue everyday after you brush your teeth but make sure to use only your soft bristled toothbrush for that purpose.
Use of wooden or plastic or metal tongue cleaner should be avoided.
