Hyperpigmentation of fingers

Ia it normal for brown akin people to have a pigmentation on akin folds , read somewher it could be an early sign of diabetes , but last year my hba1c fasting pp were normal and at that time too i had dark skin , but i am an overweight person is it vit b12 was low but i am medication of it past 3 months , vit d3 normal also had full body profil had grade 1 fatty liver though that too last year diabetes scare me to death because my maternal side has diabetes in genes and recently my mother came with prediabetic status
