Hi,
It depends upon primary diagnosis , Severity of illness and number of relapse or flare of disease (when this drug was stopped in past ).
Considering u r suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis ( the most common inflammatory arthritis ), This drug usually recommended for life long rather than drug tapering or discontinuation. But if u r in sustained remission, gradual tapering can be planned. Reappearance of arthritis features after tapering or stopping usually requires life long therapy under guidance and supervision of a Rheumatologist to avoid side effects.
Hope this will guide u. Talk to ur Rheumatologist for further guidance.
