Zirconia  crowns  are good as per esthetic point of view. It comes in different  variations which give you warranty  card for 5-15 years. Talk to your doctor properly regarding this. If tooth is in upper back region you may consider  PFM CROWN  as they are low in cist in compare to zirconia.

A root canal tooth is a dead tooth. You cannot feel hot and cold sensations in the tooth but it will be functional as it helps you chew. Zirconia crowns last 5-7 years and then need to be reviewed to check if replacement is required. May last longer also
