Hi, i have been precribed spironolactone 25 mg by the doctor for hormonal acne. Are there any side effects of this medication on female reproductive health? Can this medicine be taken for months?

It depends on the grade...Acne or  pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Spironolactone is safe to use over a long duration. The only side effect which may occur which can b rare is Menstrual irregularities. Else it's safe to use as prescribed
