The PP
sugar is high and fasting level is normal for pregnancy goals. 2 readings give snap shot of your sugars, they cannot accurately confirm the diagnosis of
diabetes, to help confirm the diagnosis you need
Hba1c which is 3 month average glucose control and is gold standard to diagnose diabetes, as well as more fasting and PP blood glucose readings, at least one of the reading must be done in the lab.
Diabetes in pregnancy can increase risk of preterm delivery, big baby, need for Caesarian section, and need for ICU stay for baby, therefore it needs to be diagnosed early and controlled properly.
