I am heavy alcoholic drinkers from last 4 years.. Recently I done my cbc and it shows high hb... My hb count is 18... Is there is any underlying deasese? Now I am withdraw alcohol completly to to reverse my health condition... Is this possible... Or I have to do any other tests...

It is not a big issue its normal. If you are not facing any kind of symptoms like joint pain dizziness etc.then not to worry. Second stop taking alcohol etc . 3rd if you have 18 gm hb then you can donate blood and save many more life .( donate karne se pehle sare blood test karwa lena) :- you can save many life . Have a great life

Hello. Your history is incomplete. Needs to know more details about your case to give a precised reply. 18 hb level is quite high, but you dont have to worry about it. Maybe, you are taking food which is having high source of iron, or hb level. If you are taking redwine kindly stop it

First of all 18 count, necessarily doesn't signify any thing major, when your total RBC are normal. In alcoholism it is seen commonly, particularly when you have iron rich alcohol like red wine. If you have, any symptoms like joint pain, itiching, Headache, It is quite possible when you stop the underlying cause.

High hb pcv mcv mch are mainly due to alcohol consumption, smoking, living in high altitudes, dehydration and list goes onn...In your case alcohol seems to be 1 reason, after consulting with me i can diagnose other causes also if any.. There are ayurvedic medicines for lowering hb and if u r willing to withdraw alcohol then some ayurvedic medicine will help you in doing that
