Is only high fever symptoms of covid? No cough, no shortness of breath. What should be done as my fathers age is 57

Covid has variety of symptoms which can exist independently. Since when is he having fever, and has he had any contact with Covid positive cases or do you stay in covid prone areas? Better get his evaluated if fever doesn't subside in 3-5 days even after taking medication
