High CRP nd fever

My son suffered gastroenteritis 2 weeks back, got admitted and treated. His CRP was 200 at the time of admission. He got discharged when all symptoms subsided. After 2 days of discharge he got fever again. Doc has prescribed antibiotics again. This time CRP is 42. Should the antibiotics be continued till CRP goes below 5mg.? Or is it enough if the fever subsides ??

Please consult pediatrician as proper detailed history is not possible on chat in your case and then take medicines.

5 to 14 days are the maximum days for the course of antibiotics. And it depends on the infection. Not related to crp or fever.
