This is regarding my mother aged 69 years. Her
creatinine levels came out to be 2.5 along with high
triglycerides (419 mg/dL). She went for an ultrasound whole abdomen. Her reports stated "Both kidneys are small in size and show increase in parenchymal echogenecity (left >right) with minimal scarring with mid polar thickness left - 9mm with maintained corticomedullary differentiation"
Can you please explain what this means and if there is anything serious?
