Nonpharmacologic management of hypertriglyceridemia is generally the initial treatment for patients with this condition. This primarily involves lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise, weight reduction, smoking cessation, and limiting alcohol intake. Pharmacotherapy Medications used in the management of hypertriglyceridemia include the following: Fibric acid derivatives (eg, gemfibrozil, fenofibrate) Niacin (slow-release, immediate-release, extended-release formulations) Omega-3 fatty acids (eg, omega-3-acid ethyl esters) HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (eg, atorvastatin, fluvastatin, pitavastatin, pravastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin, rosuvastatin)..High LDLcan be managed and controlled successfully with lifestyle changes, medications, or a combination of these approaches. Implementing lifestyle modifications, such as a low-fat and high-fiber diet, increased physical activity, and weight control, might decrease LDL levels by up to 20%–30%...consult physicians they will guide you further
