Bilirubin is just borderline high, please share your symptoms and results of other liver function tests. Lipids are also slightly high. Avoid fatty and sugary food, take small frequent meals,  more of fresh vegetables and fruits. Do regular physical exercise,  repeat lipid profile and liver function tests after 4 to 6 weeks.

The bilirubin level is borderline and not worrisome. Focus is rightly on weight loss, as it may help all your values improve, and prevent fatty liver, which is common at this stage.
Next Steps
Follow a healthy diet: more fruits, veggies, fiber; less oil and sugar. Avoid fried, junk, and processed food. Exercise regularly – walking, cardio, or yoga. Repeat liver function test in 3–6 months if needed, or earlier if symptoms appear.

No issue, the doctor might have noted your concern. Raised bilirubin which is just borderline, is not to be worried about.
Next Steps
He advised you correctly to loose weight because fatty liver disease is a common occurrence .
Health Tips
Start healthy diet and avoid fried and processed foods

A bilirubin level of 1.46 mg/dL is mildly elevated. In many healthy individuals, especially young males, this can be due to a benign condition called Gilbert’s syndrome, which doesn’t usually require treatment and is not harmful. Since your liver enzymes (like ALT, AST, ALP) are not mentioned, it’s important to check those to rule out other liver issues. Also, if you have no symptoms like jaundice (yellowing of eyes/skin), abdominal pain, dark urine, or fatigue, this mild elevation is usually not concerning. The doctor may have prioritized your HbA1c (5.7), cholesterol (222), and triglycerides (174) as they suggest early metabolic risk — making lifestyle changes is important here. ⸻ Next Steps • Get a full liver function test (LFT) including ALT, AST, ALP. • Rule out other causes if you have symptoms or if bilirubin continues to rise. • Consider a repeat test in 2-4 weeks, ideally fasting. ⸻ Helpful Tips • Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and maintain a healthy diet.
