Herpes Zoster Virus/ Shingles

Hello, I am suffering from Shingles from 7 days, taking acicvir 800 mg tablet as well as cream for the rashes. I have a lot of pain on stomach & back, especially on the areas near rashes. Please advise best ways to control it or any other medicine to get rid of shingles at the earliest.

Shingles affects both the skin and the nerve. So there is a lot of pain when the nerve regeneration happens. This is called post herpetic neuralgia.
