Hernia problems
Hello Dr. My son is 4 year old. He was having hernia problem one year after birth. He was having swelling problem while playing or crying. But last one year swelling is not appear. Wanted to know about the testicules is right on their place.

Hernia are of many types. Umbilical hernia in children gets closed by the time the child is 5 years old.
Inguinal hernia presenting as testicular swelling usually do not obliterate.

do Ultrasound of inguinal scortal region. That will also give information of testis.

Some time it happens that hernia sac gets fibrosed or adherent near ring not allowing content to come outside. Look for testis wether it can be fell. It must be at it's place. And show to some near by surgeon for examination.
