My Brother in law diagnosed with Viral Hepatitis where his Sgot & Sgpt was 1400/1500 which increased to 3400/3600 respectively as hospital team says it normally happens in the case of Hepatitis case.
He is a regular alcoholic person
His symptoms are - Vomiting sensation, abdominal pain, fever, fatigue
Question - Does sgot and sgpt increase in the course of treatment of Viral Hepatitis

If the enzymes are increasing , then the cause of hepatitis had to be established first. So that the exact treatment of the cause can be done , then only the enzymes will start falling down. To comment further, I need to know his sensorium, INR, complete LFT report, CBC and ultrasound report
