Heavy leg after hip fracture operation

My grandmother (age:74) underwent hip fracture operation in August 2016. There is pain and heaviness in the leg while walking even now. She is doing the exercises as said by the physiotherapist and also completed the dosage of medicines. However the pain and heaviness doesn't seem to subside, what could be the reason?

When was the last x-ray done? What was the status of fracture? Has it united or not? Post the recent x-rays so that i can advise you.
