Heavy bleeding in 26th weeks pregnant

I am 26th week pregnant having placenta previa covering os completely. Last week got heavy red bleeding so admitted to hospital for 3 days. On 28th week having color doppler sonography. I am very much upset. Dr told me if any bleeding happend in 7th month then we should go for premature delivery. What precautions should I take to bleeding will not happend again.
