I had undergone stapdectomy around 20 years back. Again hearing ability has reduced. Planning to go for surgery for other ear or revision for the previous one. is it general/local aneasthesia?

First you need to undergo a pure tone audiometry to find out the type of hearing loss. If the hearing loss is mostly of the conductive variety in the operated ear then you can undergo revision for that ear else you can go for stapedectomy in the other ear. It would depend on your hearing results.
