Hi...based on your history...I would suggest two tests to be done ASAP 1)BERA 2)OAE to know the level of the defect causing hearing loss...and degree of hearing loss...
If he is diagnosed with moderately severe or profound sn deafness....first thing to be done is fitting of binaural hearing aid and speech therapy...and further investigations which include MRI,CT of temporal bone, psychiatric evaluation,and pediatric evaluation(to rule out other congenital abnormalities)...are to be done to know if the patients fits the criteria for COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION!!
