Head ache and neck pain

I have neck pain since 2 weeks,and persistent headache (moderate), do I need to check for meningitis I tried touching my chin to chest (as read on net) but I couldn't.

This could be not due to meningitis but could be due to spasm of neck muscles due to improper neck posture.
