Reposting my earlier question with more details on lipid profile. My HDL CHOLESTEROL is 35 which is out of the range 40-60. My other lipids parameters are as shown below Cholesterol 142 mg/dl Triglycerides 127 mg/dl HDL Cholesterol 35 mg/dL 40 - 60 LDL Cholesterol 82 mg/dl VLDL Cholesterol 25 mg/dl Cholesterol : HDL Cholesterol 4.1 Ratio HDL/LDL Ratio 0.43 Ratio LDL/HDL Ratio 2.33 Ratio Non-HDL Cholesterol 107.00 mg/dl How can I improve my hdl cholesterol?

Monitor LDL and triglycerides if it is normal then.. You need worry about HDL...

Your lipid profile is quite good. I agree that the HDL cholesterol is slightly lower but the rest of the profile is good. The only way to increase HDL is to do dedicated daily exercise and eat healthy. Mostly exercise helps in improving it. Your T. Chol/HDL ratio is not very bad if you see. Recommended is below 5 ,ideal around 3.5,your around 4. Having said that, don't chase the HDL number, as long as you LDL and T. Chol are normal it's ok. Diet and exercise will keep the rest low and the ratio favourable.
