There are many causes which can lead to hair thinning and reduced density.
One is any disease related, as in your case was typhoid some years back. Usually hair regrowth occurs almost completely within 6-9 months.
If your hair thinning is still continuing, we need to rule out male pattern baldness or other reasons for chronic hairloss.
You can consult online with pictures, so that we can assess the cause of your reduced hair density, and treat accordingly.
