Gynecomastia is a swelling of the breast tissue in boys or men, caused by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and
testosterone. Gynecomastia can affect one or both breasts, sometimes unevenly. signs and symptoms usually include swollen breast gland tissue and breast tenderness. In most cases if the causative factor is removed it will regress over time. The options of treatment are hormone replacement therapy which is more effective in the initial stages and then there is surgery. The cost of the surgery will be differ from hospital to hospital so there isn't a standard amount set, the recovery time in hospital is just a day or two, the sutures will be removed within 7-10 days.
