Hello, Poop colour of newborn changes as the baby grows, initially it's black on day 1 and 2, then it changes to greenish black followed by yellow colour after 1 week. So for a 7 day old baby yellow or greenish yellow poop is absolutely normal. Abnormal Colors are black, white and red. Regarding the 2nd question about the frequency of poop, if the baby is on exclusive breast feeding the frequency can vary from 3-4 times a day to 15 times a day. No need to worry if it's small quantity and if it is during or just after a feeding session. Pee count will give you an idea, if babys pee count is more than 6-8 times in 24 hours then no need to worry. If the baby is on formula or on cow milk or if there is foul smelling, large quantity poop then one must consult a Paediatrician.
