Growth scan report
Hi Doctor,
I'm attaching my growth scan report for reference. The CP ratio is less than 1st centile with some middle cerebral distribution. Is it necessary to deliver before 37 weeks. At present 36 weeks running with baby weight just 2.1kgs. What would be the prognosis for the baby. Is NICU needed. Really worried. This is my second pregnancy and my son's birth weight at 36 weeks was 2.2 kgs. Hez healthy child now with no requirement for NICU at the time of birth.

Your baby is growth restricted with blood flow preferentially goin to Brain . Yes we need to deliver the baby by 37 weeks provided NST is ok. Baby might need NICU care because there is high chances of fetal distress, respiratory problems, passing of meconium.

Yes u can't prolong the pregnancy more than 37 weeks. Baby is growth restricted as blood flow to the baby is not adequate. NICU requirement will depend on the condition of the baby at delivery. Delivery should be planned at a centre with NICU facility
