X ray alone is not good enough. We want to see the patient, get basic investigations like CBC.

X - ray seems to be normal you should continue your previous medication for 7 days more and you will be fine.

From the chest X-ray image you shared, the lung fields appear largely clear without obvious consolidation, large infection, or fluid collection. The heart size also appears within normal limits. Given your symptoms of cough with phlegm for about 11 days, worse in the early morning, this pattern is commonly seen with **Acute Bronchitis or airway irritation due to Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. Morning cough with phlegm can also occur due to post-nasal drip from sinus or throat irritation. At present, there are no clear alarming findings visible on the X-ray image you shared.
Next Steps
• Continue steam inhalation 2–3 times daily to help loosen phlegm. • A doctor may prescribe a mucolytic or cough expectorant to help clear mucus. • If cough persists beyond 2–3 weeks, further evaluation may include: • CBC blood test • Sputum examination if phlegm is thick/yellow • Sinus evaluation if post-nasal drip is suspected. • Seek medical attention earlier if you develop high fever, breathlessness, chest pain, or blood in sputum.
Health Tips
• Drink plenty of warm fluids to help thin mucus. • Avoid cold drinks, dust exposure, and smoking if applicable. • Try warm salt water gargles if throat irritation is present. • Sleeping with the head slightly elevated may reduce early-morning cough due to mucus pooling. If you’d like, you can book an online consultation and share any additional symptoms or reports, so I can review them in detail and guide you on the most appropriate treatment to settle this cough faster.
