Glucose tolerance test in Pregnancy

Iam 32 weeks pregnant, recently I checked glucose tolerance test the result is glucose fasting test is 79mg/dl and 1 hour test is 219 mg/dl and 2 hours test is 192mg/dl and 3 hours test is 181 mg/dl, this all my result my doctor advice to take (METFORMIN TABLETS) this tablets is effect from my baby.

This is GDM. Metformin is a drug that crossed placenta and hence is not approved to be used during pregnancy.
