Hello doctor My wife is 10th week pregnant. Doctor advised test after 12th week. Is genetic test is. Mandatory r any side effects of the test

Not mandatory but advisable as now we can test chromosomal anomalies as early as 10 weeks so that if there is some problem in fetus, it can be dealt accordingly
