My mother has some kind of allergy from water. When she used to work in water like dish wash or anything else which related to simple water or detergent water for two or three days her nails start turning light blue and pale and sometimes it seems loose skin side by side of nails. Are these the symptoms of any kind of allergy or it could be symptoms of the initial stage of any disease?

It is not allergy to water. It is due to the washing soap or cleaning bar which is causing problems. It could also be fungal infection. Please consult with a Dermatologist in your area for further management.

Relax it's nothing serious. Tell her to wear gloves while touching detergent water. Tell her not to work for long in water. If you know that it happens always after doing the same work then why doing it again and again.
