My father aged 65 has been diagnosed with gallstones 1 and half month back? Though currently he is having no sort of symptoms. Is getting the bladder removed the only option or we can wait ? I'm very scared of the thought of gallbladder cancer.

If he had symptoms related to gall stones at any time it is  best to  get it operated.please take an opinion from a surgeon
