Hi,,, any person's average height is determined mainly by his genetics and some environmental conditions,,,, and most of the people reaches their average height by the age of 20 (male).
Growth hormone (more pulsatile surge in adolescents) responsible for gaining height, acts on growth plate which is more active during adolescent.
