Been taking medicine MDD XR 100 mg / 50 mg for 1.5 years, please let me know how long it be required take.

Psychiatric medicine are adviced by psychiatrist on the basis of patients symptoms and sevearity of disease. Its not possible to say how long u should take medicine. Psychiatrist cant withdrawal ur medicine suddenly.U must visit ur dr every 3-6 months. Mental disorders are treated with the help of medicine and psychotherapy. Psychotherapy helps u to improve ur own self confidence and modify behaviour and cognitive functions. After few sittings u may able to handle the worse situations with out help of medicines.Proper psychotherapy helps u to reduce ur medicinal dose or withdrawal ur medicine.
