G6PD level needs to to be compared in newborn screening against age matched levels for the test done by the laboratory. Each laboratory will have its own method and hence their own cut off. Male baby have a lower cut off as against female. What I see as commonly available values, the lab cut off provided is comparable. So it’s good to accept as normal
Next Steps
If you are worried, please be watchful of the jaundice in the newborn. The hemolysis caused because of the enzyme deficiency results in the problem of high bilirubin levels which will require phototherapy and other treatments. In absence of any such scenario, your lab reports are fine and have a good predictability
Health Tips
Watch and monitor for any evolving jaundice
