Yes. Candida is a type of fungus. So Candida is a fungal infection. Genital Candidiasis can occur in females because of diabetes, severe antibiotic use for other problems, pregnancy, low immunity status or due to hormonal treatment for other problems like oral contraceptive pills etc., Or from an infected male partner.
Tension/ stress is not directly related to Candidiasis.
