Frequently requiring enema

2022-12-31 12:19:09
My grandmother is bedridden for the past 6 months. She is started having bed sores. Often she stops passing stools and needs enema for this process. Now she has developed sores in that region and hence its painful. Is there any powder or tablet which can replace enema

The doctors attending to her are also knowledgeable and if have started giving her  enema frequently then that must be the last resort. If there was an alternative then they would have tried it. The laxatives, whether Ayurvedic or Allopathic would have been tried and found ineffective. I feel she will have to continue with frequent enemas. . There is no alternative.

Yes, there are a few remedies but your grandmother's weight etc needs to be considered. Also, the reason due to which she is bedridden.  Kindly consult a physician. Meanwhile for bedsores, change of position once in every 30 mins to 1 hour will help.
