Frequent pain in the jaw

2022-11-22 14:49:08
My husband had injured his right jaw while boxing a few years back. After which he experienced pain in his jaws for almost 2 months. He recovered from it, however a few years later his jaws started to hurt again. It became an on and off thing. Whenever this occurs, his jaws start to hurt badly, it also makes a clocking sound and he has difficulty in chewing and eating. Which doctor should we consult for the same?

Sounds like temperomandibular disorder secondary to old injury to the jaw. Consult with a maxillofacial surgeon in your area
