I can understand your concern. But you baby seems to be perfectly normal. Between the age of 2 to 8 years children do get small febrile illnesses and mostly viral. There are different types are viruses in environment. In this age group short viral illnesses can be as frequent as twice in a month. Any thing from twice in a month to max of 6-8 episodes in a year is normal. We as adults don’t get that viral fever that frequent because we have developed some immunity against them because of infections in childhood. In one sense these small illnesses are good for better development of immunity in your child. So don’t worry... your child is perfectly normal and he requires no investigation or treatment.
Visit your pediatrician only when he gets these viral infection.
